I want a deck. MINI component CD sys. for sale. Em I need help.

Sorry for the huge subject title.
So here's the deal:

1.) I want a new deck.
I have a stock system, and I'm just looking to upgrade it to something a little more powerful. Right now I'm looking the Sony CDXL510S, what're your thoughts on that? My price range is around 200$ if you guys have any suggestions.
(I would have posted in the audio section, but it's 2am and I'm tired)

2.) I have a MINI Component CD system for sale.
-Single CD with CD-R playback
-Active Hyper-Base sound control
-Full logic auto reverse cassette
-Clock timer with Wake-Up volume and snooze
-Remote with batteries
I'm selling it for 160$, OBO.

3.) Em if it's not too much to ask, can I get some help installing some washer LEDs? I was thinking maybe before, during or after MITM.

Thanks in advanced for your responses.

Don't get the Sony. If you go to Future Shop's website, look under CD Decks and sort it by price. There is a Kenwood and a Pioneer deck for $199.99, cheaper than the Sony and more powerful as well. The Sony only offers 50 x 2 while the Kenwood is 45 x 4 and the Pioneer 50 x 4. The Sony costs $30 more than the other two. The Kenwood also comes with a Remote Control while the Pioneer doesn't. So it is difficult to decide on which deck is better as one has more favorable features that the other may not have. It's up to you, but I would recommend those two from Future Shop. I'm sure you will get a better deal if you go talk to the sales department there or at A&B. You will also need a pocket as it is only a single DIN. You would also want to get a wiring harness as well. I'm sure Emmanuel would LOVE to install it for you LOL

BTW if you spend an extra $50, you can get the Kenwood deck that is motorized and hides itself like the MP3 and MSP decks.

Hey Justin, thx for the info.
Sony CDXL510X Car CD Deck
Sony's CDX-L510X lets you enjoy your CDs with powerful 50 x 4 watts of pure XPLOD power.
- I know it's listed for 230$ at the futureshop web site, but I saw this one on a A&B sound flyer for 200$. Plus we bought a lot of stuff from A&B, our computer, the big screen, and another T.V. It should be easier to get a better deal off them.
I'm a bit lured to this one cuz it says they system's designed to bring the sound off the floor where the speakers are.

Pioneer DEH-1500 CD Deck w/Tuner
The Pioneer DEH-1500 comes feature packed with 50 x 4 mosfet power
- This one sounds pretty cool. I'm captivated by the MOSFETINGness of the system. What's mosfet?

I never really liked Kenwood, I never bought anything with a Kenwood label on it.

Glen, that Panasonic one looks pretty snazzy, but I won't be buying till about mid September. Hehehe, maybe he won't manage to sell it by then...

Another thing I'd like to know is how people can manage to steal these things. So many people I know have had thier decks stolen... How do these crazy people do it?

Don't leave your faceplate in. It's pretty easy to take out. Always take the faceplate with you.

I went to visit Andre on Thursday before I left and he had his deck jacked the day before when he forgot to put his alarm on when he went in for work. Took the guy 2 minutes to jack his deck and other stuff. Just be careful and look for safety features like a removable faceplate or something like that.

Washer LED's are easy. Each squirter has a black wire and a red one. Run all 4 into the cabin through the firewall, and connect the 2 red to the "out" on the switch. Connect the black wires to the "ground" pole, then connect the red pole to a 12V constant (there is one in your fusebox, unused) and the gorund pole to the frame, all via more wires. Took me about an hour when I used to have them on my car. Watch out though, the metal nut that threads onto the plastic stem is a recipie for disaster. You'll be replacing them within 3 months.
