???at 100MPH????

I am very curious what is going on with the car when I pushed it to 100 MPH and I smelled a rotten egg oder because I had my windows open slightly. This was not your normal smell it smelled like someone died. Also I would like to know how to turn the govenor off because the engine had plenty of room left. If anyone has had or gets a chance to try out there car please let me know

ive had mine up to and over 100 once. On the way to atlanta a few weekends ago, the guy i was following took off and left me, when i had my cruise set on 80! i had no idea how to get to my hotel, so i wasnt about to let him leave me. i busted a hundred with ease, and noticed no smell at all, even with the windows down about half way. if there was a smell, it was probably your cat giving off a sulfer smell, that most new cars do when they are pushed a little hard. it will usually go away with time.

There was a lady that was the first to buy a P5 from our dealership, and she had this horrible rotten egg smell. sent her to service and they ended up ordering her a new cat. her car had 9,000 some miles on it. Maybe you should take it in to see maybe it is a faulty cat?

Lightbulb

the clutch also emitts a weird smell when it slips (hi revs and slow release). don't know about the cat though. i always get that smell when some limiter prevents the clutch from connecting the gearbox because the revs are too high (trying to get a good start). after that the clutch seems a bit 'numb' for a while.

ps. sorry about the (possibly) crappy english- haven't practised it in a while

There has to be something holding the car back. I have never driven a car that looses power at 100MPH. When I get to 100 the gas pedal says go but the car creeps. I realize that the smell is most likley from the cat but could some of you roll down your windows a little to see if you smell anything when you are going this fast. This smell is beyond any normal fart a cat my let out. That is why I said it smells like somone died.

Maybe a little mouse or something crawled into your engine bay and died. Seems highly unlikely but it could happen I guess.
Back in the day, my dad tells me how cats would crawl up into engine compartments of their cars in the winter. The block was nice and warm and the cats would sleep in there. Sometimes the can would be next to the fan belt or something and you would start your engine and hear a RREEEEOOOOOWWW!! as the cat screams because it is caught in the belt. Sometimes they would be killed, sometimes just loose a big strip of fur.

Kinda went off topic there but it's kinda funny. I love cats and all but it's still funny.
