Inf5x7 mounting problem (screw pattern)

guys i got a problem...
i just bought some infinity kappa 5x7 .... but they do not fit the in the door plate's mounting pattern properly

THAT is my problem!!!
(and why the hell do the -parallel opposing- holes not fit ?????????)?[

and the white circle shows where the holes in the door plates are...

i tried to use a wooden adapter but the small screws i use for the second hole (speaker to adapter mount) burst the wood immediately....

drilling additional holes in the door plate won't work either i guess (holes too close)

guys...i'm really out of ideas..how can i mount it properly?

use a small dremal tool if you need to...but just elongate the current mounting holes and put screws through them. you will be fine....put a small washer on the screw if it will make you feel better.
