Typical discount off sticker on P5

Just wondering what discount off the sticker recent buyers of P5's are getting. Not including the current rebate. I'm trying to see if I am getting a fair deal or getting raped.

My sticker read $19,453

ABS/SIB
AT
6CD/MRF
CARGO NET

I got mine priced at $18,314 using the Ford S-Plan and then took the $2,250 cash back and $500 college grad rebate.

($15,564)

So almost $4,000 below sticker including all the rebates and incentives. I also got 3.9% APR with my credit rating and priced it to be cheaper (in the end) to do the cash back versus the 0.0%

Although I will be making payments on it for the next 59 months (made my first one a week ago)

Thanks but what I am looking for is what dealers are discounting straight off sticker. Including anything that they are adding on to boost trade-in values but not including any discount plans or incentives.

At one dealer in CA, they said that I would only save $100 with the S-plan, which was something like $8 under invoice, and that they would prefer to do the S-plan, since Mazda compensated them the difference between the S-plan price and MSRP.

Another dealer wanted list, and told me that they had to eat the cost difference of the S-plan (that was the explanation for the trade-in value...who would you believe?).

Did you by chance graduate from college recently? I got $500 off when I bought my P5. Check out their recent graduate program. I'd get the link to the info, but the Mazda USA site is down as of this writing.

I got mine last fall for 200 over invoice. I'm sure you could get it for around that.

I just got my third Protege for my wife in May for $300 under invoice BEFORE the rebate!! (It was the 4th Mazda my wife or I had purchased from the same dealer) Hey Focus, check out this page on Edmunds.com. It should help you calculate the best deal for your car with options. Anyone who doesn't get a good deal AND has not utilized the website for any vehicle purchase is throwing their money away.

Just bought my Protege5 two weeks ago. One dealership quoted me $100 over list on the phone without blinking an eye. The car I bought was at another dealership and had all the options available. Started negotiating at their "firm" price of $500 over list, and ended up buying the car for $100 over fairly easily.

Yeah, just looked at the Mazda website. They are offering a customer loyalty rebate of up to $1,250, but its only for the Mazda6. It would have been nice for the entire product line. Sounds like they're not moving the Mazda6 in the volume they need to be.

Everyone ate up the V6-5speed combo, but they just can't move the 4cyl-auto's. Nobody wants one.

My car was at around 19500 sticker. I ended up getting her for 14500 after rebates, haggling and my trade in (my trade bluebooked at $678, and I managed to get them to take it for $2500 ) The trade helped a lot in the total price...plus a nice rebate. I have %6 apr, which is not bad for a 19 yr old college sophomore FEMALE who shopped alone and has no co-signer (kinda a crappy rate in the grand scheme of things, but hey, i cant ask for much). My payments are around 280 a month...for the rest of my natural life

Hey, I'm proud of myself
