Do you think i stand a chance? My friends been itching to race, but i havent gotten around to it. All he has is a super gigantic satellite dish spoiler and a fancy muffler, stock piping riced to the max. its stick. I know I'll lose but its for ***** and giggles. I just don't wanna get left in the dust. I have a 93 dx, its stripped of any heavy stuff-carpeting, back seats, spare tire all that crap. i have 2.25 pacesetter pipng with an apexi universal muffler and CAI. I figure its way lighter. And my 1-2 shift is pretty smooth. I've beaten my friends stock 2003 rav4 wich is the same horsepower, but heavier.

I don't think you stand a chance against a Celica GT. Unless you have a lot of performance mods and a very noticeable difference in pick up the Celica will take you.

i finally raced him this morning. i was cruising at about 25 in second gear. he let me get a head start. about half a car length ahead, but It didnt turn out as bad as some of you guys thought, but in the end he left me about 2 1/2 - 3 car lengths behind and still creeping.

 

no surprise....a celica GT should take a pro dx....

I wonder if my MP3 can out run a GT. both 140hp, but I got more toque....but I'm also heavier, with my spoiler and my subwoofers..

I dun have much on the engine..just a AEM short ram, and some sparkco wires to help out the toque.
