summer cruise spot

so is the perkins thing working for everybody or would we like to find a new spot? soma suggested a restaurant lot somewhere. my vote is hooters, lets hear what everybody else thinks. and that was a really great turn out last sunday, lets try and keep that up. it was pretty cool to see all the pro's together. PJ 5 i liked the idea about club membership, e-mail me some more about it.

I like the Hooters idea. There was a good turnout this past Sunday. I had to leave around 10:30, but did you guys end up going cruising around? I was disappointed that we didn't end up going cruising earlier and just sat around for 2 hours. I think we need to do a little less 'parking' and a little more 'crusing'. I think it's way better to see a pack of protege's cruising around then sitting in a parking lot, what do you guys think?

definately agree on the cruising thing. Nothing was cooler than going the short distance from the zoo parking to the flower garden parking lot with a convoy of Pros. It would grab a lot of attention on the street as I don't see very many Pros that cruise other than me on a regular basis.

I also like the idea of a) the hooters parking lot for a meeting place, and
b)membership to the club (with personal info, ph #, email, and any info on access or expertise on a certain mod(s).)
The Hooters parking lot would be good if we wanted to meet earlier and go for some wings or something, plus it would be cooler than in the back lane of Perkins.

On a side note: I just finished changing oil to Quaker State full Synth oil and a K&N filter. Made sure I drove it around before to get a good feel of it and then changed oil. Took it out and after about ten minutes tested it out again by opening it up on Bishop and Perimeter. Makes a difference for sure. Smoother sound and better pick up. Might of added a bit of power just because the engine is running cleaner. Felt better and my car purrrs in delight! Best part is I paid forty bucks and it took me ten minutes tops (most places charge about $30-35 for regular oil change).

so why don't we do the hooters thing before the meet around 8:30....then cruise down portage around 10:30....Sounds like a plan to me. I love the whole line of proteges too. Made me feel kinda warm and fuzzy inside

hooters sounds good to me as well, i was really impressed with the turnout on sunday, that was the first time i showed up but from now on i'll look forward to it. And i agree a line of protege's down portage would be pretty sweet.

Well, I'd have to say that last night was the best cruise night I've been to yet. The cruizin' was fun! Plus I got to see my first RX-8, or the back of one at least, but it was still awesome. And what started that whole scuffle in the parking lot there with the cutlass-boy and civic-boy? That was interesting while it lasted.

Dave, did you wax your MP3 recently? And I liked the meshing you put on the grills, thumbs up.

Thanks Sean....actually, i haven't put the grill on proper yet. I kind screwed up but if you don't look close, it seems like its flawless.

Also, I haven't waxed my car since i bought it...hehe. But i really need to get rid of the paint swirls so i should do it ASAP. I probably won't have my Uncle paint it until next year. Thats when i'll get the ram hood as well. Next up though is the eibach/spool springs. I haven't decided which ones i'll buy next.

But back on topic:

Next week, meet at Hooters on Ness at 8:30. I'll be inside the lounge area. I'll make sure that i park the car in a large open space so we all can fit.

Kuba, where were you? You missed the RX-8!!!!!!!

Yeah, he totalled it. Someone ran him off the highway and he ditched it into a pole. I think he said there was $33,000 damage to the car. You should have seen the pictures

Woah! Oh boy.....too bad. Any digital pictures to post? - I'm assuming not. I'm gathering he wasn't hurt...

I'd be interested to see when MPIC auctions off the car - wouldn't mind picking up another set of Racing Harts if they are not damaged. I guess I'll keep my eye posted on MPIC's salvage listings....
