On the new Mazda models the interior lights on the cars is red. I have a 2002.5 Protegé with the green lights. Can I switch out the green for the red? I don't know how to do this, and I'd really like to do it. I was hoping someone on here can help me out. Thanks.

I have a 2002.5, and my interior lights are red/orange. Dunno why yours isnt....

I guess LX is different..

 

I got the same problem. Want the red real bad, but don't know how to go about it.

 

I think I read about this awhile back. Theres a colored tint in front of the lights or something. Do a search.

 

I must be in the minority, but I actually like the green.

 

you are probably right. one of the guys in the club put blue bulbs into his p5 and the dash lights up orange now. would look killer on an orange MSP

 

I heard that it was more trouble than it´s worth to try and change the lighting color, I have the green too. It´s not that bad.

but, as stated before, it is a pain in the *** to change them, and defiently not work the effort

 

I believe that the ES model comes with the red/orange and the LX and DX comes with the green...
