Emergency brake mechanism.

I need to do rear brakes on my 92 Protege.

I was wondering what to expect on the rear calipers with regards to the emergency brake.

Are they the one way worm screw type that I've seen on other cars, or something different?

Are they drum or disc brakes? (DX or LX model?)

I forgot about a Haynes manual that I had laying around, that's what I meant by "figured it out, RTFM"

But thanks for the attention.

The Haynes is pretty vague on the rear brakes. I was not impressed (as usual with a Haynes).

the basic chiltons manual (same as the haynes manual everyone on here owns) is the same way, vauge as hell, plenty of pictures... but hey, at least you get to scratch your scalp bald trying to figure out what the hell they're talking about

Haynes is a lot better than the Chilton's in most respects, I mean, they put a freakin RWD Rotary in the same manual as a 323 and GLC?
