My Newly Painted Calipers

I just painted the front calipers today. Going to be doing the rear ones maybe tomorrow. Should I paint the rear ones? Also let me know what you think?

They look good. Of Course you should do the rear ones. What kind of paint did you use? I am going to paint mine red when ever the weather gets better up here in Mass. It has been rainning up here for the past week and is going to rain a good portion of this week, too.

Good job.....

Thanks. The paint I used I got at Autozone for 7.99. It is by VHT. Was pretty simple to put on. I put 3 coats on and it didn't take very long. I know what you mean about the rain. It has been raining here for days. Luckily I got a break today. Yeah I am going to do the rear ones for sure. Thanks again

It is by VHT and the model number is SP-731 for the red. They had other colors too at Autozone

hope you got that paint off the rotors. That can glaze, and braking might suck for a while. You'll see.

Nah it should be fine. I went for a test drive already and did some hard braking and most has already come off. It was very minimal cause I masked as much as I could but still some got on. I will still be paying close attention though this next week. Also since I posted last I went out and did the back brakes too Here is what they looked like after

Nice job on your calipers. I just did mine yellow this weekend with Plastikoat caliper paint from PepBoys. Did you spray or brush???

I used a spray on them. My brother bought a brush kit for $40.00 at HIN for his Eclipse Spyder. I kinda liked the spray because it was simple to use. You just have to use masking tape to mask off areas you don't want painted. I did the best I could but some still got on there. It will come off though after I drive some though so it doesn't really matter.

How do you think gloss black would look on the same color protege you got?

I think it would look pretty good since it is a dark red car. Would be interested in seeing that.
