Ghetto Mod Idea!

Has anyone on this board modified their engine mounts using 'Hockey Pucks', instead of buying the AWR engine mounts?

If so, any advice?

Question

How did you plan on using hockey pucks to mount your engine?

I heard that you can fit a hockey puck (with some modifications of course) in the bushing area of your engine mounts. It's a hard material, so technically it will be good as a AWR engine mount, but costs way less.

And Canada Rules!!!!

I don't understand this
What is the Engine mounts?
Why do people change it?
What use do you get if you change it?

Thanks in advance

Motor mounts hold the engine in place. Check the above link for some pros/cons put together by WeSleepTheyLive.

Yall will wan to see this thread I made regarding an alternative to the soft, WEAK stock motor mounts. The trade-off for some stiffer mounts that transmit power to the ground by keeping your engine from jerking is more vibration.

Here's my contribution. Plus, it will spare the life of an innocent hockey puck.
