Wow jumping to conclusions a little bit here aren't we? I'n not saying he's innocent, but nothing's been proven yet.

Dude!
He:
--wouldn't take a lie detector test
--Never lifted a finger to help find his wife(and son)
--denied the affair he was having, and denied being married to his girlfriend.
--went "fishing" the night Lacy disapeared, his neighbor saw him putting a rolled-up tarp in his boat in the middle of the night, THAT night.
--Bleached his hair and grew a goatee.
--had a girlfriend in college that disappeared.

Now they found Lacy's(and her son's) body 2-3 miles from where he said he fished that night.

Draw your own conclusions.

-lie detector tests are not fool proof -I would refuse to take it too-they may seem innocent person lie.
-dumb bitch annoyed the hell out of him and he suspected son wasn't his, she was fooling around with mailman and plumber
-would you admit affair you're having under these circumstances?Clinton did not, and he didn't kill anyone.
-spring is good time for fishing
-I bleach my hair occasionaly and sometimes I grow a goatee
-She took off for Hollywood to become "American Idol"
-If you were to murder someone, would you dump dead body in the vicinity of your fishing place?Unless you're moron.

remember-innocent until proven guilty.

Her legs were broken off at the ankles where he put her in "cement boots" How nice!
--Lie detectors are foolproof when the ONLY suspect is afraid to take one, If he was innocent, he would have taken a dozen lie-detector tests by now and cleared his name, but he's not, and he didn't.
--Dumb bitch?! That's just heartless. Where's your compassion for the dead?
--Don't compare apples to oranges. Clinton was never a murder suspect.
--How's the fishing on Christmas Eve? With a bunch of rolled up "umbrellas" in the boat?
--Do you head for Mexico after bleaching your hair and growing a goatee? When your pregnant wife is missing?
--I don't know if your married, but if MY wife disappeared, I'd help
the police look for her. Especially if she was carrying my son.
--You'd be a moron to kill your wife and unborn child.

Scott Peterson is no different from Cary Stayner, a murderous coward. No, wait. I was wrong, he's worse. He killed his own family. I hope he's getting his *** kicked right now.

Think what you want, ignorance is bliss. The rest of the world knows what a monster this guy is.

All I heard is that her head was cut off (which means no teeth, so no dental records match.. that is the quickest way to identify a dead body).

As for the infant son (as they say it), it was full term.. that must mean over 37weeks. (Pregnancy generally lasts 40 weeks) Anything before is 37 weeks is considered premature, as far as my knowledge goes. So... she was missing Dec. 24, and due date was Feb 10. That's more than 3 weeks! Does that mean he kept her alive for some time before cutting her head off, and disposing of the bodies? And how is it that the child was born, and detatched from her body? If she died, does the body still go through the course of labour? Or was her body so deteriorated that her stomach and uterus openend up, and the baby fell out? I am confused in regards to that, but there is no doubt in my mind, that her husband is guilty.

Someone mentioned that he was unsure he was the father? So what... does that give him the justification to take her life, and an innocent childs? There are other options. If every guy had doubts a child was his.. and murdering a pregnant woman for it was justification, this would be a much sadder case of a society.

Now that I re-read my last couple of posts, I realize that I seem to be flaming obender66. Sorry about that, I guess that it's a touchy subject for me since my own wife is 9 months pregnant, and I kinda got a little bit carried away. Don't get me wrong, I still believe Scott Peterson is a guilty dirtbag. In fact, it was reported that when he was arrested, he had $10,000 in cash and his brother's ID on him... I just don't wanna come across as a dick to my fellow Protege friends. Especially on Easter Sunday. Peace!

Smurfroo-rah, FYI, when somebody dies, they "bleed out"(post mortem hemorraging). This is when they expell all body fluids(even a baby) a while after death. The baby probably was born, alive, underwater, only to drown on his first breath. and yeah, Laci's head was cut off.

Thanks... I didn't know about the post-mortem bleeding, however.. does that mean her body would have automatically opened up the cervix (dilated) to allow the baby out? (Sorry if this is gross guys, I'm just curious). And.. you said the body would expel the baby... but how (assuming the cervix was closed, and she hadn't dilated).

Second... even if the baby was expelled from the body, I don't understand how it was considered full term at the time they found it. Full term meant it was alive at the point of 37 weeks or more, meaning about 3 weeks prior to Feb 10. So.. that raises my question.. when did Laci Peterson die? Was it Xmas eve, or was it a month later? I guess all these details will come in due time.. maybe they're mistaken with the age of the baby. Or, maybe I'm mistaken of what full term is, but I know that delivering prior to 37 weeks is then considered a premature birth.

You're right on two accounts. The baby wasn't full-term and this is getting gross. The gasses/fluid that the body released upon death pushed the baby out. I don't know exactly how long after death this happens.
What a sad story about a pretty lady...

Yeah, I certainly agree that this is a sad case. Once she disappeared, I had the feeling she would not be found. And that sucks. I mean, I guess it hits people harder too, cause she was pregnant. And whomever did it (my guess is her husband), should get a life sentence. Not the death penalty (that's too easy).

I feel for whatever she had to have gone through before she died.

How is this newsworthy? This seems as important to the world as the Jon benet thing. Sure it is horrible and criminal, but why does a nation get hooked on one case, that likly doesn't affect them and is little different from most other homicides. Stupid media ramming this down throats.....

I hear what you're saying, however is that not the case with most of the stories in the media? They do not likely affect most of the people who read newspapers, or listen to the radio, or watch the news. However, in this case... I think it hits a little closer to home for people who are pregnant or expecting a child in their family.

My take is that it gets media attention because of $$$, I did notice there was a $500,000 reward offered. Yeah, maybe the fact that there was a pregnancy too might have a little something also. I am not sure what the Petersons or their families do, but I am sure that they have some political clout to make this a newsworthy story for some. Personally, being here in Florida and seeing this on my local news stations is just downright disrespectful to all the people that have lost loved ones here locally and got no media attention at all. Not that deaths in general are media type items.
