whats the best pipe size for exhaust

Im looking at buying a 92 DX pretty soon. If I get it I want to put a exhaust on it. I was looking at the genie header from corksport.

Should I just go with a size that matches the header outlet (no cats for me, no emissons in minnesota).

Im going to use a 2.5" N1 muffler I have laying around from my old Rx7. If its too loud ill just add a presilecer.

2" at the most for SOHC...maybe possibly 2.25" for DOHC. 2.5" at least fot turbo, but recommended 3"

If your buying a DX (SOHC) you wont be able to use the genie header. Its made for the DOHC models.
