The passenger side cable could be stretched and so it doesn't clamp enough.

well i pulled off the wheel today and found that its locked the tire up tight, i losened it up by moving the cable back and forth for like an hour

im not sure whats causing it to stick but when i pull the lever the drum dont let go it still sticks, i have to lossen it with a screw driver

is this a seized cable? rusty springs in the drum?

any help would be good and any way to fix it would be better
thanks

ps id take it to a shop but yea im broke

no ive stopped using the ebrake after it didnt unlock, ive tryed to free up the cable all day on and off but cant seem to get any progress with it, i think i may need to get help with this i dunno im stuck on this one, just wont work for me

the brakes work fine btw, its just when i pull the cable the little arm on the back on the drum dosent move back (the spring is lubed and eveything but cant pull that little arm back into its unlocked place)

i can pull the handle and it will lock up the drum so it dont move perfectly, its just that it wont let go after dropping the handle

any further thoughts?

Well I meant when you set it the first time [it locked]. Reason is e-brakes have been known to stick on hot brakes. Not saying that's what happened but just want you to know all possibilities
