I just thought it looked cool. It's on a hill, and you can see it from a distance.

i saw lights like those on new kia sorento and they really look cool.

 

I think the rear would look even sweeter if you shaved the letters and symbol. Just my 2 cents.

Magnaflow, Racing Series (their straight-through variant), stainless steel oval body, with a double-walled 7" long by 4" dia. slant cut tip.

They have a lot of different styles to choose from. I chose that one because the oval body looks more "stock", the long tip sets the muffler further forward, and the 4" tip just about perfectly matches the cutout.
