Dumb Wreck

It was the first damage to my protege. I was dumb enough to hit a pole in a parking lot. The funny thing though was all my buddies in school with cool cars damaged their's over the weekend too. The running total today was 5 freshly damaged cars. None of us hit a car either. Sad day for our school's cool cars.

What is the dumbest damage you've done to your car?

I did the same thing. But it cracked my bumper in 2 places, put some nice gouges in it, and shattered the lower grill.

I was just learning how to drive and my mother brought me to a parking lot and got me to do some parking. I parked beside a big van. When I went to back out I started turning too early and the front corner of our bumper got caught in the corner of the vans back bumper. The vans was chrome and old, ours was crappy black plastic. I tried to un hook myself but no luck. So we had to wait till the driver came out . I was freaking out when this huge guy came out. He was really cool though and didnt care about his bumper thank god. Of course my mother's Hyundai Excel's bumper was all bent out of shape....lol.

I just went and got an estimate for the damage from my body shop. I only hit the pole going around 3-5 mph. Damaged the front right of the car. They said it would be $1463.37. Man that sucks.

My first car was an '88 LeBaron convertible.

I was doing reverse donuts (FWD, ya' know) in an icy parking lot with lots of bumps, and destroyed my steering rack.

Not really an accident, but I could barely hold the car straight on the way home - took all my strength just to keep the steering wheel centered, and the car didn't want to make left turns anymore
