Ok I got a 96 mazda protege LX. I think it has the 1.8 engine. What I want to do is just deck it out. now will 18" rims fit the wheel base? Does anyone have any recommendations for good chrome rims and low profile tires? Is there a turbo availible for this car? As you can tell Im excited about this car because I think it would look awsome! Its red right now, but Im going to repaint it jet black. thank yall.

 

well if it's the Lx model you most definately got the 1.5L. I dunno about rims, but if ya want a turbo in a 1.5, it will have to be all custom done..

 

why paint it black ??? as for the turbo , it can be done , you just have to get a custom manifold made for the car, A turbo would suit the car very well as the car does not weigh that much and it would be hella quick ,, even quicker if you stuff that 1.8 in the car ... a T3 would really be nice ,,, or maybe even the vj20 ,... something to look into ,, look into the turbo before the 18's so then you have power to spin em thangs
