2000 focusand brakes

I am selling my minivan for a 2000 focus wagon. I heard some squealing when driving, I konow there are a couple of people here on this site that own a focus. Has this problem been fixed. I mean there is even a website dedicated to this problem. "FordFocusBrakeProblems.com I was just wondering if I am making a mistake or not. Anyways, let me know, please ASAP as we got a great deal on this car and are wondering if that is the reason. The last owner just put new pads and rotors on before trading. Sounds funny as it costs in excess of $550 for this job. I mentined the sqealing and the brakes were doing this even while they were not applied, while driving. Not really loud , but you could hear it. Anyways, anybody with real time, please advise!
