Question springs

I order a set of Dropzone springs off of Ebay said they were for 91-98 protege. got them in and they did not fit. My spring off my car are the same diameter on both side of the spring. The ones i got in the diameter were smaller on one side of the and the other side was bigger that the ones on my car (this was for the front springs). My question is did they send me the wrong springs or what? Cause I call a company about a set of Dropzone springs and I was told that they only made them for first gen protege. So are 1st gen and 2nd gen springs the same?
