Hey Everybody,
New member on board, just saying "wuzzup"
Just bought a red MP5 last December and hopped on the board as soon as I saw it.
I previously owned a Ford Probe Base-model, so I'm very familiar to the 2.0L FS engine. I had a few mods on 'er. I was a member of probetalk.com and pimped that board out like no tomorrow. So, you'll be seeing a lot of my ***!
I have some test parts to install and see if they fit and perform to adequate means such as:
-Headers from '93Probe (I know about the OBDI difference)
-13lbs Fidanza aluminum flywheel from '93Probe
-Unorthodox Underdrive Pulley
-Jspec Intake Cam from '93Probe. (may not fit)
I'm not sure how much the engine has changed, and Mazda did manage to pump like 20HP+ out of the engine since the Probe days. Anyways, hope everyone is having a good start to the new year, and see you in the forums! I can't wait to spend some cash on this car!!

Hey hello and welcome to the boards. Sir Nuke will most assuredly be quick to do the honors.
As for spending money on teh car I'd recommend upgrading the suspension mainly. It seems to me that the engine design is just kind of primitive and 130-140 hp is the max to get out of the 2 Liter. Bolt-ons do little more than create more noise. Intake + Exhaust will give you no more than 7 hp (or so it seems). The suspension on the other hand is jizz-worthy. I just came back from a very hard run up the mountain and I've started loving this car in a whole new way. I was taking turns at 70+ mph that other cars have trouble taking at 40. Insane. That's all I have to say. Can't wait to get the JIC suspension
