Question Fast And The Furious

Did anyone buy the Fast and the Furious DVD? I watched it last night and thought the multiple camera angle option for the final stunt was incredible. There are also some fine deleted scenes...

What are your thoughts on that movie?

Got it yesterday ,i agree the camera angle shots are incredible .The documentry on the making of the movie was informative as well gave you a better understanding of what the director was turing to show to the public . For those of you who haven't had a chance to see it ,Get it

Sorry guys, but I thought it sucked big time. Worst movie ever. I'd rather see video clips of the cars driving around without the cast.

I still think it's one of the greatest movies of all time, even though when it's all over, Paul Walker"s bad acting leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Also, that article (racerX) is crap. It's horribly written and does not rightly describe the street racing scene. Also, the info is false: my friend with an 87 Prelude beat the guy the article is about in July (way before the DVD was completed...) with an 11.33, which, according to the article, would make him the fastest Honda on the east coast... Even though no one said anything about it when he made the run. Except for Honda offering him a full sponsorship.

Got it the day it came out. Saw it in the theatre 4 times, it just wasn't quite the same watching it at home. Maybe I didn't turn up the TV loud enough...

Wicked movie, I loved it. I know what you mean about it being different watching it at home tho, it pretty much sucked, until we got our 53" Widescreen a week ago, now it rocks!!

Has anyone actually watched the movie, PAST the end of the credits? There is a small ending to the movie, (maybe about 45 seconds long)...

yup

since I used to be an usher 'back in the day', I've seen that end scene (past the credits) only about 40 times, because that's when I had to go and clean the theatre hehe, needless to say, I got sick of it.......

Overall, I thought the movie was okay, but it doesn't compare to Gone In 60 Seconds........
maybe it's Angelina Jolie, or the Ferrarris, or the Lamborghini.....

downloaded the movie...

and watched it on my pc. Glad I didn't waste $5 renting this piece of garbage of a movie. No doubt all the car chase/racing sequences are awesome, but it's one of the worst plots I've ever seen.

They should've just done a documentary movie on the 'real' street racing scene in LA... why even bother with a story when it's the cars that are the stars of the show.

nice cars, bad story/acting....

I still personally think that there should of been more car racing, and/or MORE cars in total in the movie. There wasn't too much CAR's in the movie, at least thats what I though. The race wars in the desert, there was only 2 car races. I think there should of been more. They showed more cars in the end credits, than the actual movie!

F&F

I thought it was a cool idea to have a movie about the import scene but thought it could have been done in more realistic fashion. Here are some examples: 1) The Eclipse had an NA motor when they looked under the hood at the warehouse meeting point. 2) You cannot tell how much NOS a car is jetted for by looking under the hood. 3) If I counted correctly, during the opening Eclipse acceleration run I count 6-7 gear shifts (HEHE). And who the hell has a bolted floor pan as a mod!!!!! There are more examples but you get the point.
I was disappointed because it also cast a shadow on import racers by portraying us (us being import enthusiasts) as hooligans and thugs. If you think I'm full of ****, just look at the fact that most theaters nationwide had a beefed up Police presence when this film was released to discourage those few asses that feel it's great to do a burnout or drag-race thru the parking lot. It took the extreme (read negative) end of the import scene and glorified it. In my opinion it added more to the whole rice-boy stereotype than anything else. I could really care less except I get real pissed off when American Car loving Cops feel it's their duty to harass a law abiding citizen whos only crime is driving an import that has a catback or is lowered etc.
It's only a movie...I know, I know. And for my 8 bucks it was cheap entertainment. But it's the impression that was left that you should all be worried about and should think about when you get pulled over for your exhaust or other bolt-ons etc.
