escort struts fit 323?

Will struts from a ford escort around '92 fit mazda 323 thats from '88? With minor mods will I be able to get them in somehow? I can get them for free, and my 323 is in need of struts because it starts shacking if i go over 60mph!! How do I race with that??

Actually...Any type of Stut/Spring for a ford escort will fit a 1990-94 protege or 323.
Its virtually the same car. the 323 is the hatchback of a protege.

So yes, im gettin excort zx2 struts for my 94 Protege.

There are some interchangeabilities between the 1995-98 Protege / 1997-? Ford Escort and the 1st gen cars, but pre-1989, you're on your own.

If they're free, try one...
Correct, nothing from the 86-89 323 (GTX or not) is compatible with the 90-94 323, execpt maybe an engine swap...i think some 90-94 323's had a 1.6L engine.

I also wouldn't say they have a crappy chassis either, ppl don't rally crappy cars.

Most of the 323s had the 1.6L...it's a rare bird that has a 323 LX with the 1.8L SOHC.
I did'nt even know that was possible! Was the 323LX available in Canada? Cuz I've never seen one or even heard of it before...
