All I want for Xmas is...SNOW TIRES!

Yup, that's right. Due to the overwhelming suckiness of the stock Dunlop's, I went out and bought myself some Michelin Arctic-Alpins for my baby. Unfortunately, due to some hemming and hawing on my half, and other people telling me to hold off cause they could get me a deal, I went with the 16s, cause the 15s were all but sold out, unless I wanted to pay an extra $90-something for shipping. Nope. Couldn't do it.

So last night I dropped my baby off at my friend's house downstate so he could drive her to work (Executive Nissan),and change the tires over after. Sigh, I miss her already. But, I hear we might have snow for Xmas, and I'll need those tires. Yay...

you know i have had ample opportunity to drive around in my protege with my new Artic Alpins now (we had a major colorado low blow in which dumped tons of snow) and i think that even with the 15" tires these tires suck. I don't think it's as much the problem with the tires but a problem with the fact that I couldn't get 14" to fit. The stock size for the 15 are just way too wide I wish i could have bit narrower 14" on my car......i can't even imagine how it would have been if i had gotten the 16".

Yeah, I really wanted the 15s, but these work 100x better than the stocks, in my experience. In all the spots where I would have spun out or not made it up a hill, the snows got me where I needed to go. That's all I need.
