Question Will 6.5's Fit?

I went to Best Buy and he sold me some 6.5" speakers and said it would fit in the front door? I didn't have time to get it installed then so I'm wondering. Ya think I'll have to exchange it for 5x7's? I'm putting it in a 97.

They list as 5.25" not 6.5s or 5x7s. If they are 5x7 sounddomain.com has adapters for $5. If they are 5.25s you can probably cut the hole bigger or use a space ring which you'll probably need since you have less then 2" of mounting depth.

I guess you're talking round speakers right? I don't think they'll fit in the pre-cut hole. If they do, you'll probably have to drill new mounting holes for the screws. The problem I had when buying new speakers was that the magnet was too big. I got some 3-way 5.25", but the magnet stuck back so far that my window wouldn't open correctly.
