can't see the pic..

but

yellow headlights are EXTREMELY functional, good at seeing stuff on the side of the road mostly and in the rain its rediculous.

suvlights.com sells different sets, I'd definitely stay away from the super high wattage ones though, I have a proper relay kit bypassing the alternator for the socket output, and 95/115 watt bulbs even from a reputable German manufacturer burn out quickly

maybe this isn't what you're talking about, but I suggest them, its just odd stuff

i like it. many lemans racecars run yellow lights. i think they look crisp, not old.
they do improve visability in bad weather, as opposed to the more popular blue/hyperwhite lights that actually reduce visibility.

btw, geocities doesn't like you to link to their pages. if you just cut and paste the adress of the pic into your browser it will work.

No, they run yellow headlights to destinguish between the classes. If a porsche sees a car with white headlights behind him, he better move out of the way. However, if the car behind him has yellow headlights, he's not required to move in that they are matched in class.

LMP (675/900) class cars use white headlights while GT class (GT/GTS) use yellow.

Bingo!

Not to mention, Yellow lights, as primary driving lights, are illegal in California.

Maybe he's going to move to France?

Anyway, I remember seeing an old article about custom headlights when colored bulbs first starting coming out, along with "city lights" etc. Regarding yellow lights, they said "If you really want to be pulled over, switch your headlights to yellow."

Now, having said that, I think it would look good. Get some yellow window tint film and try it out. Actually, I guess that wouldn't last too long. Maybe a sign/vinyl graphics shop could get some clear yellow stuff (maybe like yellow Scotchcal?) In any case, it would be reversible so if you didn't get hassled by the fuzz you could always take it off.

i didn't know the headlight color was for different classes. i just noticed that some had them and some didn't

i don't know if they are illegal. if memory serves me right i remember reading somewhere that amber is considered part of the white spectrum (or something like that, i know white is all colors combined) and that is why you can get away with clear corner and turn signals in the front.

Hey, I just learned something new! I never knew that. I just thought it was by choice. Makes sense though.
