WRONG.....the california duster is a great product....it works wonderfully....and NO it will not scratch your car up if used for its intended purpose........you won't find scratches all over my car...and I not only have one...but use it....and have used one not only on my P-5 that I have now...but also on my show cars I have had in the past.

you can also get a LITTLE one that works great for getting the dash nice and clean of all that pesky dust that likes to settle up near the front of the windshield.

The California Duster is indeed a great product and doesn't scratch. Maybe you're confusing it with the California Waterblade, which can scratch or cause swirls if used incorrectly. Usage depends upon need, like whether your car is garage kept or left outside, etc. Don't substitute it for a wash though. The duster will not get every single microparticle of dust, so if you use it right before you use a quick detailer, you could induce swirls, but the swirls aren't caused by the duster, they're caused by the moisture-laden dust particles that didn't come up which you just QD'd into your finish.

I would have to agree that the California Duster is a great product. Both me and my dad are fanatics about cleaning our cars, and he has been using one for almost 6 years, and I have used it on both my previous vehicle and my pro. I, nor my dead, have ever had a problem with this product, and I would highly suggest it.

for starters this is NOT for cleaning your car if its in fact DIRTY....this is exactly what the name implies...a DUSTER....IF you keep your car in a garage...and don't keep it covered while there...it will get dusty.....I ONLY use my duster if the car was washed and detailed when I put it in the garage and its been in there a while and it has some dust that has settled on it. I use it for TOUCH UP sorta.....after all...the P-5 has to be spotless when I take her out to show her off. :{D

I am fortunate...my p-5 is not my daily driver....my p/u is, so I don't have to wash her that often....and I have yet to need to truely wash her, as in with water, a bucket and the mitt. I have been using a product called Dry Wash and Guard ever since I got her....I have a friend that has been on the show circut with his truck for many years and he turned me onto it, HE drives his show truck on the street on a fairly regular basis, and has been using this for years....his truck is flawless.

the california duster is not just some fly by night "as seen on tv" POS.....in fact the product has been around for longer than many of you have been alive.....and has been in use by MANY a car collector.

The key is to keep it clean. I've had one for years now and it still works great.
