Pissed on a Bumble-Bee

Ok, here we go again. I'm on my way to work this morning cruising at 70MPH when I look in the rearview and see a bright yellow colored Saturn SC2 coming up. As soon as he gets to me he gets on my bumper ans follow me for a mile or so. I knew what he wanted but I really wasn't in the mood until we got out of traffic into an open stretch of road. Then he pulls up along side of my and looks at me with a snotty grin. I'm like, ok...what ever    I look at his rice mobile and it looked as if he was sponsored by Pep Boys or something   So I hear him step on the gas and he began to slightly pull on me. So after laughing a little I threw the car in 4th and walked on him till we were even. I can tell he had his car floored cause his enging was really screaming. After being even with him for a few seconds I slammed 3rd gear and pulled away from the Bumble Bee and kept pulling on his yellow ***. Rounding 95MPH I go back to 4th with the go-go pedal still floored and still stretching the gap between us. All of a sudden My radar starts blaring lights at me so I hit the brakes to break it down back to 65MPH and sho nuff, a county cop was on the shoulder. The funny thing is that the Bumble bee buzzed right passed me and on went the county flashers to pull his yellow *** over. If was so funny I had to laugh.   I hope everyone understands that there are certain morals everyone must follow:
1) Never let Pep Boy s be your sponsor

2) Always have your radar wide open when running on public streets

3) The brighter the color of your car is, the more attention you'll attract.

4)This is the best...........NEVER MESS WITH THE 626er :P :P :P :P :P:

WTF.......I don't know what kind of car you drive, but my car redlines 7200RPM's at 65MPH in 2nd. And in 3rd I'm hitting 95MPH on 6900RPMs

So if my speedo gives me a top speed of 150MPH, I probably can reach it.

actually considering he has a 1999-2001 626 with a 5-speed manual and a V6, his 3rd gear should do around 98 mph +/- 3%

anyone in doubt can use this formula for some quick calculations

Just because your car can hit 95 MPH in 3rd gear does not in any way WHATSOEVER mean you'll hit the maximum speed on your dial, that is 150 MPH. Ever taken a physics course in your life? There's something called "terminal velocity"; look it up, maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

I previously owned a 5-speed V6 Cronos and it topped off at 128 MPH. My 2.0L Protege can make it to 60 MPH in 2nd (that's 5 MPH less than you), and it does not reach the maximum on the dial, i.e.: 150 MPH, but topped off at 125 MPH and wouldn't budge any more. All this due to "terminal velocity".

It's all about wind friction, ground friction, aerodynamics, engine force, etc., etc., etc. All moving/accelerating bodies eventually stop accelerating due to opposing forces balancing maximum forward forces, and there's nothing you or your engine can do about that (Turbo might help tho). 'Tis called "terminal velocity".

Ya, know You're absolutely right, More than likely, I won't be able to hit 150 in my car. But the fact of the matter is, I can hit 95MPH and redline in 3rd and and I can run to 125MPH in 4th. How do I know?? I'VE DONE IT ON 1-95. Actually a couple of times!! So let's see now, you're saying I'll max out at 128MPH when I'm at 125MPH in 4th. You need to understand there is a difference between a 4 speed automatic and a 5 speed manual.

Oh and by the way, when did Mazda make the Protege in a GT model???

LOL, man, okay, so you were racing, you were in fourth gear, and then you slammed it into third gear after a few seconds???
Did the rpms jump to 14,000???

I don't get it, but I hate Pep Boys and their stupid commercials

At first no, I wanted to catch up to him. That's why I only went to 4th. After we're up to 80-83MPH I hit third and began to pull on him
