Aside from racing in official raceways and stuff, anyone who races on public roads is a moron. Show some *****, and ignore racing people. Even your friends. Don't race!

I dont street race

 

the section is not up only for street racing............it's RACING overall................
it's too broad of a subject and I think it should stay......

 

agreed. street racing is stupid, but everyone does it. regardless of what they say. you can't honestly tell me that some jack *** has pulled up next to you with a piece of ****, revved his piece of **** at you, and sat at the light like a piece of ****, while you smoked them. everyone has done it once in their life, regardless of what they want to say. it's like saying "i don't drive over the speed limit, because it's illegal." you still do it.

 

i was agreeing with indentity_x about the topic of "Racing Stories" being too broad, and that it *shouldn't* just cover street racing, but should cover all racing in general, whether it be AutoX, Drag, Drift, Road, Rally, whatever. I just threw the street racing thing in my last post for S&G's.

 

So on Sunday I went to this wedding and they had an open bar. Sure, maybe I had one too many Yeunglings. Yeah I shouldn't have drove. But some dumbass wanted to race me. WTF?

i don't read this section too much. mostly because some of the stories i see are questionable. but oh well. it's a place for people to post their bs and get away with it.

oh dude, this one time i was racing like 5 other cars, we raced for like 5 minutes in a quarter mile straight, then i sprayed at 140, it was rad


theres 2 types of street racing and the lines are very blurry, 1 type you line people up on a safe street, nice and organized, the other is just running anywhere which is unorganized and usually leads to an accident... but where else would i put my "bullshit" posts? maybe I shouldn't street race and neither should any of my friends

maybe youre not the mod to make the decision and no one cares?? why dont we change the 3rd Gen Forum to the "Which Cold Air Intake is Cooler" Forum or the "I like the sound of my new exhuast" Forum???

I have to say the Racing Stories section is extremely questionable. Hokie and juvenile at best. Anyone worthy of the oxygen in the air knows this section is full of BS. We should call this the "Full Diaper" section or the "I Just Got My Permit" section.

The stories about pulling on Mustangs at over 100mph, or almost pulled on this or that car and dusted this car is a waste of web space. The key word here is "stories" cause that's what 90% of the crap in here is. There may only be a handful of proteges that can show tailights to a Mustang. Face it.

Maybe break this section down into legit 1/8 or 1/4 mile Drag Racing and SCCA racing sections. Save the street racing stories for your mom or whoever else wants to listen to you BS about it. Better yet, write down all that BS so you get the story right the next time you want tell it to show how badass you are racing on streets.
