Debadging

Hey guys, i was wondering if you guys have ever debadged ur P5s. I was lookin at the back of em, and i was thinkin it would probably look a lot cleaner if i took off all 3 on the back, including the Mazda emblem that's jammed in between the license plate thing and the back window. If you have debadged and u have any pics, they would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

While you are at it, rip off the side trim too. It makes you're car look a lot cleaner.

I have a 99 Red ES and have the "chrome trim around my wheel wells.. I think my red and silver pro's are the only two colors that go well with the "chrome." I dunno.. maybe its just me.. i've seen a red pro ES around here with no pinstripe (mine has it) and no trim and i think it makes the car look too tall like the new corollas.. but that's just my opinion.

Ya, i have seen the 3rd gens debadged. Looks worse because you will have 2 holes where each badge used to be. So removing "Mazda" and "Protege" will leave 4 holes in your trunk.

This sucks because i want to remove them too, im going to take it to a body shop to see if they will fix it up for me.

If you take off the badges. Putty up the holes with small sheet metal behind it. Sand down the putty to the trunk level and repaint it for the ultimate look. Looks clean. Do the side moldings also. Get some adhesive remover. Not GOOF-OFF that'll screw up your paint.
