Part Number of the 98ES caliper
Part Number of the 98ES caliper
does anyone know the part number of the front brake caliper for a 98 protege ES? I would look at it myself but the car belongs to my sister and she is not near by me. Thanks!

I noticed you posted in one of my DIY posts. I will not answer your question there since it's somewhat off-topic for what I actually meant the post for.
Anyway, here are the part numbers that I got from my local Auto store here in Canada. I personally did not go to Mazda as they would have the real Mazda part no. Also, please keep in mind that the ES model use a smaller brake setup because it sports a 1.5L engine...although I need some confirmation for this.
If your car comes equipped with the 1.8L BP engine as stock, you'll probably receive the bigger brake system:
13-6061-8
13-6060-0
OR
C8046
C8047
Unfortunately, I did not pay close attention to product numbers at the time. And, I do not know which part no. is for the left or right caliper. I think the Cxxxx # is the stock no. for the auto store and the 13xxxx # is the true part no.
Good luck,
Oz
