Just some requests, if you guys don't mind:

- Tech Articles: I'd like to share some tech articles, however it covers all Proteges - more technically - it covers all gasoline cars. I'd hate to put it in the 2nd Gen forums when the rest will not likely visit it. It may not be much (possible 2-3 articles), but maybe others will chime in.

OR

- General Discussion: Just the same, but Tech Articles might be more appropriate.

Oz, what you might do.. is if you have the ability, make up an html version of your tech articles... even if we can't host them here, i'm positive one of the other people on the board (i.e. myself, wil, or someone else with their own domain) will host it and you can just link to it from a thread. but, it is a good idea.

 

Thanks Protetype and Gro Harlem. However, I would like the topic to be openly discussed before being archived anywhere. I guess give it 2 months before archiving it in HTML, and maybe posting it on the main ProtegeClub website. I've written an article on Understanding Ignition Timing, and Understanding Oil Analysis. I've posted these articles in another non-Mazda board. It won't be too difficult to tailor it for Mazda engines, but my experience is only limited to my BP engine.

Anyway, I'll be writing up another tech article concerning oil and choosing the proper brand for your vehicle. I'm sure that will spark up some questions.

BTW, Gro Harlem, I've emailed you on How-To articles that I've written for 2nd Gens...I guess you never received the email

I think that is a good idea b/c I just got my P5 a couple weeks ago and I enjoy learning all about in the forums and think that this would be another beneficial forum for those who want to learn more....

 

What do you have to worry about ignition timing? Your car is distributor-less, you lucky SOB
