VW Passat wanted some

I went to chill at a freind of mines house yesterday and on the way home a friend of mine started to pass me with everyone in the car sticking us the finger. Both cars had two passengers in it. So we all flip them off and I begin to speed up a bit.
It was on.
Now the other driver was crazy I knew if she could get infront of me she would cut me off. So I had alot of modivation to drive fast. I just gun it and leave the vw in the dust. I was pretty far ahead when we hit traffic then it became the who can weave through traffic faster race.
Then the traffic slowed to almost a dead stop but by now I was so far ahead i could not even see the green VW. So I just got off at my exit without seeing them again. Good times.

I'm sure you blew the Passat away....

And weaving through traffic is not only dangerous but also retarded.

Just play safe, and off the streets too.

Threse threads are all the same:

Guy A) Here's a story about how I raced a car on a public street and beat it and then did something stupid like weaving through traffic or kept doing 80 mph through a suburban side-street

Guy B) Hey, racing is one thing, but weaving through traffic or speeding where you shouldn't be speeding is another.

Guy A) Well, there wasn't that much traffic. Or, it wasn't really a small side-street. Or, I'm really safe and know what I'm doing when I'm street racing.

By this point in the thread, I've usually had enough...

My Wife has a 2003 Passat Tiptronic, and my daily driver is a 2002 Protege LX Auto. Coming home from my weekend job (Bartending) it was 3:30a.m. not one other car on the road. I passed her at 65 she sped up to match my speed. I then proceded to floor it. I got 1 car on her before she stepped on it. She had me by 2 cars before 110. There is now way you beat a Passat unless it was a pre-1998. I know the 1998-2001 only have 150HP, but the torque from the turbo help them alot more than you would think. Racing a Passat in the Protege is a loosing battle on the highway.

Now off the line the turbo lag and the weight of the Passat make it only marginally quicker to 60 then the Protege.

the w8 is nowhere to be seen, i think i musta blown him away dawg, but then i see the w8 right next to me

now i'm mad so i downshift into first, throwin' my engine into 12000rpms where my vtec starts and i literally BLOW away the w8, i look back in my rearview mirror and i see the old grandma in the w8 goin' 65 in the slow lane, yeah she looked embarassed and ****

lol Great story

Back on topic, a Passat 1.8T should have no problem beating a Protege (perhaps not a MSP)

That's why I usually try to avoid the "Racing Stories" forum...

Take it to the track.
