Everyone Wants to Race the Mazda 3!

I've had my Mazda 3 for just over a week now. It's sharp, the 5 door S in Silver with the appearance package. Anyway, it seems like every bum here in NJ with a coffee can exhaust system wants to race me. Pretty funny although I'm taking it easy on her for a while, trying to break her in a bit. Either way, seems funny how many cars want to race. Oddly enough I had some gross looking, ghetto caddy trying to race me this morning. The damn women almost cracked a curb trying to get in front of me, way out of control!

Be Good, JP

I'll pass on that, that's what the asphalt modified is for! I just want a peppy, little car for my daily driver and that's what the Mazda 3 is. Although, with that said, looked at a new Boxster S today with my business associate, nice ride!

Be Good, JP

About a month ago, I was coming home from Oregon after my grandmothers funeral. (live in washington) Anyways, my mom owns a 2004 black volvo s60, and I must say, its pretty slick with its v5 2.5T engine(I think it was 2.5, Its not a 2.8) She had just gotten a ticket 2 days before (doing 68 in a 45, she claims some one cut her off, and they were going at it. cop was kind enough to drop it to a 60 in a 45, because of her mothers death. Even though she had a ticket for 80 in a 65 a month prior to this.) Ok, now that everyone is up to speed, here is what happend. I told my mom since it was so late, and she hasent slept well in a few days, I would drive home. I think I left garabaldi or whatever at 8 and got home at about 1 am. On my way, MANY people would pace me, and then race off. I didnt really care, because it isnt my car to speed in, and was fun to drive even at the speed limit. At about 12:30 AM, I was coming by seattle and I was going about 65-70 and a guy in a blue hatchback with a fart cannon (CRX? it looked too big though) He came up next to me, and I was like, "you gotta be crazy to try and race in seattle, with the cops around every bend" obviously, he hasnt had much driving experience around there, because he pulled infront of me, and took off as fast as that car would go. I was like "oh man, I sure hope he gets caught" not 3 minutes later, I come around the bend, and I see cop lights on the off ramp, I was thinking "boy, he was just a little too late to tag that hatch ." as I came up to him, I saw that it was the same blue hatch that took off infront of me, I was like "OH ****, check that out" to my mom, she looked and laughed. My dad called me up (he was in his dodge dakota sport) and he said "karma is a bitch" and I could hear him laughing. Thought I would share that, and it wasnt just the blue hatch, I had ******* KIAs come by me at like 90 mph and that wasnt the only incident.

After all that driving in that car, I really want a new car. I know that my little protege's 1.5L engine just aint gonna cut it for my thirst of power anymore, I miss driving my parents cars, although, I do like my cars handling a little more, it is a lot more stiffer and the steering wheel has a very sensitive feel. (I god some B+G sport springs and struts.) stock just doesnt cut it.

ps, sorry if its hard to read, or if its difficult to decypher, I am going to bed. I will check this in my ms networking class tomorrw. Later all.
