1st gen pro vs. 2nd gen pro vs. 3rd gen pro

Who would win provided each car had the top of the line engine?

yeah, definetly a drivers race, as the cars are all pretty close, but i do agree, a 1st gen may just pull the lead if all drivers are as matched as the cars are.

How much horsepower and torque does the 1st gen have? Also how much more do they weigh compared to the 2nd and 3rd?

I'm going to have to say the 3rd gen with the 2.0 b/c though it is heavier, according to the f.a.q. it has the most hp and torque available of any of the usdm engines. So, all things being equal I think with the added displacement and torque the 3rd gen would win.

good question

2nd gen would be slowest. the (99-00) 3rd gen with the 1.8L would be next to last. Hard to say between the 1st gen and a 2001 3rd gen with 2.0L. The 2001 may win in a quarter mile but, I'd pick the 1st gen in a circuit.

Where would the MP3 fit in? It's on the heavy side too.

MP3 would win since it's got 140hps, and it's not any heavier then other 3rd gens. It's only got the extra sub, and bigger wheels which are Racing Harts so shouldn't be that bad.....

The 1st is the fastest. I think the MPS will be next. then the 3rd with the 1.8, then the 3rd with the 2.0, then the P5. and last is the 2nd. but this is with the "bigger motor of those models.

I pick the 3rd gen 1.8 over the 2.0 because of weight. That car did gain a lot of weight and not a lot H/P.
