Started on Interior

Well...after some careful thought...I decided on the same color scheme I went with on my white Eclipse. I decided to go with a Medium blue with pearl flakes. Unfortunately I only had a chance to do the gauge bezel and the surround on my head unit...it was all scratched up, so I had to sand it down til it was nice & smooth....it was entirely to cold last night and I don't have a garage. Hopefully it warms up a bit and I'll start working on the center piece and the door trim (still waiting on the info on the door trim & the center Flyin Hawaiian!!)
Anywho...here's what i got so far:
2 coats primer...3 coats blue pearl.

And...
BTW, the hair drier DEFINITELY speeds up the process!!!

came out pretty nice. itching to see the finished product.

JDM-P5 January-22nd-2005 12:50 PM

Yeah...I'm itching to get it done...thanks for the comments. Any clue as to how I get the switch panels/trim off the door?? If not, I'll have to start taking everything apart...lol.

its just lifts off of the bottom, just make sure not to scratch it. I used a flathead screwdriver with tape on the tip, came right off and then you can remove the switch panel off leaving you with just the housing.

JDM-P5 January-22nd-2005 02:41 PM

SWEET!
BUT, I believe have to take the door apart to get the handle off.

JDM-P5 January-28th-2005 10:28 AM

Well, I have a half day of work today and I'll be finishing the interior hopefully in the afternoon....I got the door panels off lastnight (thanks to those who helped me w/that...you're right..it's FAKWKING EASY!)...going to hit up the center console and git'r'rdone. Stay tuned and watch for the write up.

looks good man, I hope you don't over-do it though.

I like that blue color. I'll have to show you what color I'm doing my valve cover and engine brackets in....

The inside dorr handles take a philips and you just have to pop the rod connected to them off. The switch consol just pops out, might need to use a little force, unplug the unit, then you can un-screw the plate. I did mine when I painted my body kit. I'll try to locate some pics. Good luck. btw, Looking sweet.
