Thumbs up So I went to the track(No, not that one)…

So I went to the track today with a buddy and his mom, and like it states in the title, probably not the one your thinking of. I went to the horse racing track to watch and bet on some horses. It’s always a great time and I usually go every 2 or 3 weeks. I went to Monmouth Park, which anybody who’s into horse racing, knows that the $1 Million Haskell is held here later in the year. It’s only half an hour away from where I live which is great. So anyway, I usually do pretty good, but damn, not today…I was always one horse off. EX: If I bet horses 4 &7 in a boxed exacta, one horse always broke it up and it would end like 7, 3, 4 or 3, 4, 7…always one horse off!!!. The same happened with my bigger bets, being Trifecta’s and Superfecta’s. My buddy and I split a boxed Superfecta and were one horse away from winning about $1000 EACH! I ended the day down $60, but that’s ok because it’s always a fun time…Here’s some pictures of the day…

P.S. The pictures posted are much smaller due to file sizes…But I do have the full-size, unedited, un-cropped pictures. If you want some(a limit of 2 or 3 because they’re huge), just leave your e-mail address and which pictures you want.

P.S.S. You better like these, they took forever to resize and such to be able to fit the on here...!!!

Scott.

gambling is french for someone who is bad at math....

I've just never had money to risk wasting like that. I spent $200 in quarters on my honeymoon on the slot machines of our cruise ship. $200 and 3 days later I was only $200 poorer. Doesn't make any sense to me.

i always thought slot machines were fun because i'd sit there and watch people lose all night, i'd walk up when they were done and win. lol at the arcade of course with tokens.

LOL $200 in quarters, now that sucks because not only does loosing $200 suck, but it took you 3 days with quarters! Anyway, I cant gamble either, but my friends mom places the bets for us, so its all good. And as far as being down $60, the past two times I went I won about $70 each, I've been about 5 times and for my record there I'm still up about $40 overall, so it ok...I guess lol. If you know anything about horse racing or ever get the chance to go to a nice track, do it, its a LOT more fun than you'd expect it to be! Thats why I keep going back!

it took 3 days because my wife would win money every now and then but it was never more than the $200 we started with.

gambling is just not smart IMO....it would be wiser to just hang onto that money and put it in an interest bearing account....of course I'm into 401k's and the market and thats just as much of a gamble.
