As to why its badged as an Infinity instead of a Skyline...
This is because people with over-paying jobs (not talking about your Bro here--KDO) here in North America who can afford super-sport cars (like the G35, NSX, etc) DO NOT like being put into the same catergory as the average joe.
Mr. "I-spent-a-$100 000-on-a-car-and-all-I-got-was-this-lousy-NSX" doesnt want to be drving a HONDA (gasp) just like punk-*** joe-schmoe with the $10 000 Civic. No way! Hes soooo much more sophiscated than that! He wants people to know that HE can AFFORD an ACURA!
Same with Infinity/Nissan, VW/Audi and Lexus/Toyota. Hell! I think the reason for Toyota comming out with SCION, is that the teacher with the Camry doesnt want to be driving the same brand of car as that kid with the 'THUMPING' BBx...
I mean, EVREYONE knows that an Acura 1.6 EL is SOOO much better of a car than a four-door Civic!

And they have fixed the head gasket issue. Don't dwell on the paste. I gaurantee you that you will not see any or very little head gasket issues with the SRT-4. Besides they have a lot of catching up to do to catch up with the MSP problems.

I never said the MSP was issueless - I haven't mentioned mazda once yet. I Speak of Nissan/Infiniti. And are you defending the crappiest american car company out there! Well whatever floats your boat. The Big three has openly apologized for making sub-par vehicles and not to judge them for what they did but what they are doing now. Its kinda like having your girlfriend sleep around on you, then saying sorry and trying to trust that they wont do it again! LOL its in there nature. As long as human hands build cars you'll have mistakes. Enter IBAS (Intellegent Body Assembly System). Most all foreign companies use this technology now that Nissan started it back in the early 90's. It's a process that allows even the seem's on the vehicle to be measured to within .0025mm tolerence. I'm sure most human's can eye up a door like that ROLF!! Its called technology and the jap's have got it. The american companies have issues because most of the lemons were built on mondays and fridays.
Thats also something that IBAS gets rid of... Human laziness.
In fact the american companies are lackinf so much that they are using mostly foreign parts in there vehicles now just to make the vehicles appealing.... Well I can go on and on but I've had this discussion before and its like talking to a wall usually.

And to clear things up, Nissan IS my favorite auto company and I LOVE the G35. Its one of the sweetest looking cars out now, if not the best. Nissans are good cars, but they still can't compare to Toyota. Toyota takes top category in almost everything every year.JD Power & Associates
I was just saying not to bash the SRT-4 from past experiences especially when your not sure. The SRT doesn't even use the same engine as the regular Neon. Manufactures do make improvements. Heck, Ford won most improved auto manufacturer and they are known to have made a complete turn-around

I wasn't really trying to start any arguments. I agree with you and I really like the G35. Its a sweet beast.
I was just complaining about the SRT-4 bash. Oh, it's just Neon
Even though it uses a remodeled and refrabricated engine. I think Dodge did a damn well good job.Oh, and I must say again, I love Nissans. I'm just a little more open to other things.

I see... I think what I mean to say is that change can happen for the better but its only a matter of time before they screw up again and as far as Ford making a turn around thats good... Maybe they might have a successful launch without major recalls.
