Want A Chrome Trunk Garnish.

I don't know why, but I am thinking about replacing the body-color trunk garnish (above the license plate) of my '99 ES with a chrome one as seen on some Canadian models. Anyone want to trade their chrome one for a Emerald Green Mica one? Or does anyone know of one for sale? The US dealers don't stock them, and I have to assume they aren't cheap from the manufacturer.

Just feeling this one out.. any thoughts? I guess I just like the look of the chrome garnish matching the chrome grille strip in the front.

**** man, shouldn't be hard to find one at all. Us Canadians with the chrome (not me, P5) are dying to get rid of them. It's going to be hard to find someone with a green Mica Pro, but if you offered to have it psinted, I'm sure a straight-across trade would be workable. The chrome one is more expensive anyway.

That would be unique on a US pro.

this is amazing! I have a 2002 Canadian model ES and I hate my chrome trunk garnish. I had even started a thread here asking people if its paintable. I wanna trade with someone that has a body-colored piece so I can paint it black mica as the chrome piece is probably not gonna do very well with paint (will it?).

Maybe we can trade pieces, but my concern is the fact that you live all the way in Cali and I'm waay east in Quebec: we'd both be without trunk garnishes until we receive each other's pieces in the mail.

What exactly is trunk garnish? Ive never heard of it before and didn't know it could be switched out for a better one. Where can one go to buy a chrome trunk garnish for a Pro? What dealers sell trunk garnish?
