No, you can use any Hide-away unit. If you guys can figure out
a way to mount a dvd player where the cigarette stuff is, any
player will work.

Could we just straight hook up a PS2 to the screen?

For those of you have have no place to mount an extra
radio somewhere, I've done this setup for people and
it works quite well

Get yourself one of these:
Koss DVD/CD/MP3 player http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3316

You can take that player, and take the headphone output and
hook it up to an amplifier to power your speakers. This would
be a very good, and cost effective setup. Only problem with this
is that you will lose AM/FM... but I'm sure you may be able to find
a portable dvd player with a tuner built-in.

I am working on obtaining a larger LCD panel for the Protege install.

The 7" I used in the Subaru is a bit small. Please check the thread for updates.

On the otherhand, the larger screen will add approx. $175 to the cost, so if you would like the 7" widescreen, please let me know

I don't guess there is any way you could do a screen in a 2000 protege?

First one completed for a customer.

I'll have the owner send me some pics after the installation.
