I have a Commodore 64 with an 8-track player hooked up to it, LOL.
I am not an "expert" on computers, but I know what I needed when I replaced my old one this year. I have a Dell Dimension 8200 Desktop P4 @ 2.0GHz 80GB Hard Drive 1024 MB RDRAM GeForce2 MX 64 MB Video Card Soundblaster SB Live! 1024V Sound Card 48X CD-ROM, 16X CD-RW Harman Kardon 695 speakers, w/ subwoofer V.90/56K Modem 10/100PCI Fast Ethernet NIC ........running Windows XP Home, etc, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah.......It does what I need it to and will be plenty for a long time to come; that I do know. |
Hey, I still have an old Tandy 286 around here somewhere. I used to make fun of my friends because I had a sound card and they weren't getting them with their 386's and 486's. But then it doesn't have a hard drive. :)
