You'll get used to the weather, just dress warm (really warm). Black fly season in Northern Ontario, and the rest of Canada is the thing thats the hardest to get used to. Like to see the terrorists deal with that.

The terrorists don't stand a chance against black flies. 25 years of them and I'm still not even comfortable with them, you just accept the little bastards. They are like terrorists burrying into caves, being your bellybutton and eardrums. I wonder if they fly 747s and wear turbins.

I've been to Algonquin Park just after Victoria Day weekend and seen absolutely no bugs, but a couple years ago, my brothers went in early June, they had to paddle out to the middle of the lake to eat because there were so many bugs swarming them. They also said the one morning they woke up and it sounded like it was raining pretty heavy, but they opened the door to the tent and it was just thousands of blackflies swarming the tent and flying into it. It sounded just like rain drops.

Hey Midnightblue97, Algonquin park is south (for me anyways), Chapleau is between Hwy 11 and 17, Thunderbay and Sudbury. We're basically in the middle of nowhere, as far as I know we're the only place left in the world without cell phone service. Doesn't "The Trailer Park Boys" rock! I think it's Canadian thing, kind of like Red Green. If you run out of bug dope give me a call.
