whats your first car
 

My first car was a 92 Nissan Sentra SE-R. My second was a 96 Corvette. After that i got my 2003.5 MSP.

My first car was an 86 Ford Escort. Swapped engines and transmissions in it and after it was all completed someone hit it out in front of my house and snapped the rear axle in two totalling it. Then I got a 89 Pontiac Lemans which got hit and run. So then I got a Mazda B2300SE which ran great and then my 2002 Protege.

My first and only car is a hot 97 Accord.

I've owned numerous cars, but my very first was a 1985 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L engine. The engine was tired and needed freshening up.....aka Turbo. About three weeks after building everything I was hit by a biddy in a 3KGT trying to race me in the rain. After that was an assortment of minivans, pinto's, and mustangs, Once I moved out on my own, I bought a Contour SVT with a vortech SC and it was stolen, so I replaced it with a 95 LeBaron, sold it for a 1990 Taurus SHO and 2K worth of racing parts, blew the differential in it and bought a 95 honda civic, when my wifes car was paid off I bought the MSP, blew the motor in it and traded it out for a new P5....that brings us up to today!!

First car I ever Owned was a 92 Ford SHO... 5 speed, and pretty quick... 220 hp stock, 24 Valve, duel overhead cam Yamaha Engine... but I wouldn't ever get one unless you plan on payin hella cash for maintenance... its still a FORD man.... Fix or Repair Daily

My first car was a 1971 Datsun 510 ,which i bought in 1977 . That dates me ,anyway I had changed out the engine and upped it to a 2 Liter with a 45DCOE weber sidedraft carb ,headers ,cam ,this car would fly , Body mods included fender flares ,front and rear spoilers ,lots of aux.lights ,the car was Orange and we called it the Great Pumpkin.
After that came a 79 VW rabbit in baby puke green ,then a Huyndia Pony,yes you can mod a pony as it used Dodge colt engine and suspension ,then I got into mazdas ,An 89 323 ,followed by a 92 Protege and finally my 2001 Protege .

a 1990 graceful red mazda protege bought new by my family 5 days after my fifth birthday :) and boy has it come a long way from stock :)

First car

1989 Dodge Daytona ES Turbo - 2.5 Turbo, plauged with broken motor mounts. It was kind of my fault for turning up the boost and hopping launches. That thing torque steered like a bish.

Next

1993 Ford Escort LX - Blue (powder) Metalic. The only options were auto, A/C and power mirrors(wtf). Loved that car. 88HP of Fury. I still pulled my friends 1998 Honda Civic DX with it.

Then
1999 Mustang GT - Currently For Sale. Love the Car, I just never drive it.

Currently - 2002 Mazda Protege LX - Auto, Moonroof, Alloys. I love this car too, but it rattles worse than the Mustang.:eek:

My First Car
 

My first car was a new 1991 Nissan Sentra XE coupe-- 1.6 liter engine; 5-speed manual. This was a modest stock vehicle, and I drove it for 10 years suffering no catastrophic failures. Other problems I had, though:

Odometer/speedometer cable broke, requiring replacement.

Clutch pedal action squeeked and never was fixed by the incompetent dealership in town. Even after 4 tries. I finally gave up and just lived with it. For 4 years.

Alternator failed around 80K miles and needed replacement.

CV boots needed replacement at 98K miles.

GA16DE engine developed minor oil leak around the same time (98k miles). Originated from the crank case seal, which is apparently a common failing of that engine.

Needed struts replaced at 90K miles.

The normal wear and tear of brake replacement, battery, muffler, cooling system flush, etc. also needed attention at the usual times.


This car is still on the road with a friend of the family, going strong with its original clutch after 12 years of service. Overall, problems with the car were very limited, and I've continued to appreciate Nissans of that era as excellent, excellent vehicles. 40+ MPG on the highway, trustworthy reliability, reasonably zippy performance from a modest 1.6 liter engine. In fact, overall I was happier with that car than my '01 Protege ES. :mad:

My next car? Although I have to say I think the exterior is ugly, other than that I believe the new Honda Accord is a fine vehicle, and I hope to find a way to afford one, asap....

in this order:

1) 1978 olds cutlass supreme - never registered due to frame rot
2) 1989 plymouth reliant - dont know how i didnt kill that car. i put it in reverse at about 60 and it started right back up.... that damn thing was damn near indestructible... neutral drops, e-brake slides in the driving snow into snow banks, all that fun stuff. eventually i fell asleep at the wheel and took a big bite out of a telephone pole. ouch. that'll kill damn near anything.....
3) 1987 Dodge Caravan w/turbo... heh, talk about a stupid sleeper, but hey, i had some extra money and got a used turbo for cheap....
4) 1989 Ford Taurus - this i got with about 158000 miles on it and got rid of it about 500 miles later. that thing blew chunks.
5) 2002 MP5 - love it, love it, love it. almost as much fun to drive as my fathers 1960 MGA..... almost.....

My first car is my mazda protege5 (still known as 323f here) with a diesel engine. I really love it. (like we all do in this forum ;) )
It's fast, it's big enough to carry my things, I got a great last-minute-of-the-year deal for it, it blows away VW Golf TDI (ok, not the 150hp model), and filling the tank is very cheap also ( 850 km with one tank - 55 litres- for just 30 euros).

Now I'm plannig to install a powerbox to it in order to achieve 130 hp (from 100 hp stock) and decrease fuel consumption at the same time.

I bought it one year ago, 20000 km and no problems. Next year I have to decide if I keep it or I exchange it for another Mazda... I wish I could afford an RX-8.

My first car was an 82 GLC (FWD) with a J-spec E5 Turbo, lost in a wreck. Next was a 1984 RX7 GSL-SE, R.I.P. My favorite tho was the 86 Corolla GTS,damn I miss that car. And finally my 93 Pro, purchased new with about 22 "test drive miles" and still runnin' strong ready to hit 200,000 miles.

My first car: A 1974 Pontiac Ventura. Decked out in 70's olive green paint with the stylish plaid upholstory. That's right, plaid! And I had to share it with my sister. Oh yeah! It was a chick magnet!

I first started with a 93 Ford Thunderbird (which made me develop lead foot at a young age)!!! Then i moved up to a camry89!!! Then my baby that i just raded in was a 1994 mazda 929!! Loved that rear wheel drive and now my prize is my 00' protege!! My baby!!!! Don't try to duplicate or playahate this chics got it on lock!!!!

In the three years I've been driving, I've owned...

1. 1988 Mazda 121 (ok ok, its a Ford Festiva)
2. 1988 Mazda 323 GT 16v Turbo - Never was registered because the body was rotted. Used for parts, see next car...
3. 1990 Mazda 121 LX - B6T powered, runs 13s easy.
4. 1992 Subaru Justy GL - AWD, 3 cyl, POS, Sold it within months
5. 1989 Mazda 323 DX Sedan - Got rid of it because the engine fell out.
6. 1988 Mazda 323 GT 16v Turbo - Awesome car.

I like Mazdas and I like turbos. I still own the 1990 121/Festiva and the 323GT, and probably won't be getting rid of them any time soon... because they are good.

My first car was my 1991 Protege, then I went to an 1988 Beretta (2.OOOOHHHH MY GOD), then I added a 1987 Formula 350 Firebird to my collection, sold the Firebird bought my 1986 Z28 and the Beretta got towed, then I bought a 1990 Beretta GTZ with a quad four (now that's a four cyl 180+hp@6200 rpm NA) which I just sold. Now I'm down to My Z28 and the Protege and about to pickup another car as a daily driver. All that in 5 years of driving :)
