2001 Hyunday Elantra (Auto) it was sloooooow, I was driving a 1988 Pontia 6000 6cyl 2.8liter then, and the Hyunday was a lot slower while in 1st and 2nd....... (bottom point, I said to the dealer, well you take over, I've seen enough)
I was looking for a (afordable\new\car that I wanted to drive now and then) for my mom.... she drives a Red Pro5 now :) |
I noticed a few sube's so I would definetly have to say that my fathers 89 GL 10 station wagon with a turbo was actually the slowest car I had to drive on a daily basis the engine was so worn out by the time I was driving it that the turbo was ALWAYS on. Every time you step on the 'noise' pedal the turbo light would flash on.
Got a new engine in it. Props to the rep from Japan that insisted on paying half even though the car was over 200 K and it still sucked. |
my friend's 93 firefly before it got new sparkplugs.

Here's a few that I have driven, which weren't particularly quick:
1) VW microbus, 1959 model year - with a souped up engine, no less. So slow driving over Mt Shasta in California, I swear Metros were passing me. Less than 50hp perhaps, even all souped up. 2) Datsun B210 wagon, automatic.... wheeze! Pop! Bang! A "classic" from 1980. Had an overdrive button on the floor that did little but change the pitch of the engine. (With 67bhp on tap, it always has to struggle). 3) VW Rabbit Diesel, 1979. The old girl was slow and fragile, but frugal. Not different from human senior citizens. 55hp on tap. Bright sides included fun handling. |
Few ive driven, some of them were mine:
1.Buddies 89' Accord carburated 2.Geo 3 cylinder 3.colt vista 4WD |
