This way, or that way?

I've been debating between the 2 popular options on a car : performance vs. "interior fun" (?). I could either upgrade my suspension and save money for NOS or turbo and other parts, or I could as well spend it on a nice sound system, rims, pedals, maybe a screen or two and all that fancy stuff. Now I'm leaning more towards the interior stuff because I do want a fast car, but it will take A LOT of money to make the Protege very quick. I just wanted to get some other input and opinions. So tell me what you guys think. I haven't done anything yet, money is being saved as we speak... Thanks!

First off.. what is your ultimate goal with your car? Do you want show, or go? I know there's not too much aftermarket for the protege's *yet*, but there's enough out there to make it fast enough. Do you want to have fun in it entertainment-wise, or do you want to be able to take it to the drag strip or autox track and rack up some good numbers? Interior and aesthetic(sp?) crap is going to cost you more than performance.

that's funny as hell. just fits most of us, because the probe, and protege people seem to prefer the zex kits.

Where to start?

I decided I might as well go for performance in my car. But now I have the problem : where do I start? Seeing as how I have never installed anything on a car, I thought I would start with a simple strut tower brace. Is suspension the best place to start?
Also, maybe take a look at this: http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...1683#post92546

Thanks for all your help fellas!

I've decided performance is probably the way to go, but how much faster can I actually get my car to go? Can someone relate this in either 0-60, 1/4 mile, or horsepower stats? Thanks a lot for your efforts!!
