stupid, but funny WORDS...got any?!?!

me and my buddies usually have new words from time to time and now it's this one...concur...it means to agree or coincide with, but for some reason it's funny to us and after someone says something i/we agree on we say "i concur" anyways...does anyone else have any stupid, but funny words.....

My buddy got wasted one day, and he wanted to say that his 'stability' was messed up, so he said, "my stapability is messed up."
And there is one I made up once all by alone - symbology!

here is a word that in reality is NOT a word...but people use it all the time..

IRREGARDLESS

It sounds like a real word....it even makes sence to those that use it as the NEGITIVE form of regardless.....HOWEVER....used properly....you use the work regardless in both the positive and negitive uses of the word.

nyu-cular, as in 'nyu-cular weapon'

as a rule of thumb, just review any speeches good ol' Dubya makes, you're bound to find some new words in the transcript

a made up word (or not?) I once heard a professor said: "Disingenious" Meaning, presumably, not genuine in action, response, or behavior. Insincere?

I think you mean the word DISINGENUOUS, which IS a real word.

dis·in·gen·u·ous Pronunciation Key (dsn-jny-s)
adj.
Not straightforward or candid; insincere or calculating: “an ambitious, disingenuous, philistine, and hypocritical operator, who... exemplified... the most disagreeable traits of his time” (David Cannadine).
Pretending to be unaware or unsophisticated; faux-naïf.
Usage Problem. Unaware or uninformed; naive.

that word caught my eyes because it's in my vocab list that I'm studying for the GRE test I'm taking tomorrow!

Good luck, Hank!

With the GRE tomorrow. I'm curious - what are you planning to get a Masters (or PhD?) in?
