Right after I signed up for this forum, I started getting TONS of spam in my email. Anyone else experience this? I'm pretty disgusted.

 

Well if it is in a hotmail account, maybe the same thing is happening to you as is happening to me. I have 400 identical e-mails that appeared overnight last night, and when I am logged into the MSN Messenger, I get a newone every few minutes. I don't think it has anything to do with the forum, since I have my yahoo account that I signed up with here.

 

Since I am the owner of this site. I can tell you I am NOT selling email addresses. The email address you use to sign simply gets stored into the DB and thats all. The spam is not coming from here.

 

Unless you are getting e-mails from the forums that you subscribe to. I was getting e-mails letting me know when someone answered my post but you can turn that off if you want to. Just go to edit profile and uncheck the box.

neither did I. I just get tons of mail saying somebody responded to my post, which is annoying, I'll turn it off under my profile one of these days....
