Someone broke into my car!!! !!LONG!!

To the punk that got away with 3 of my rims and tires....I will sell you the fourth one. (in case he is reading this)
To all the others...one of the guys drives a RED HONDA CIVIC late 90's model, exhaust and tints. 525 (5's or S's) in the plate. Another a Black SUV possibly a durango.

THE STORY
I was woken up by the sound of my car alarm going off at 4am. Ran outside with a hockey stick. Saw a shadow possibly 2 running, then saw a durango take off down the street. Called the cops. The guys left a jack from a honda (possibly). The last tire/rim had 2 nuts taken out already....they almost got away with it. While putting stock tires back on, a civic drove by very slowly. About 30 minutes later it drove by again! Definitely the a$$hole that broke into my car. Other stuff is gone...but i'm pissed about my rims. They left PART of the car on cement blocks and the front right on the ground.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
1-Get a loud alarm
2-Possibly get one of those alarms that when someone touches your car flames come out..hehehe (can't remember the link to that site with it.....)

I know how you feel; it's happen to me to. It was my Mx-3 that was broken in to. I think there was 4 guys involved in the theft. I also saw a 88 brown Maxima, as I walk out to my car they almost hit me as they were pulling away. Then I notice my car door was open. They had stolen all of my stereo stuff, my 2 subs, head unit, and amp. And had broken a lot of my interior part inside my car. It was 4:30am when I call the cops. The cop told us that there were 5 more cars that were broken in to. To this day I never left my car overnight at my friends condo again.:tear: I am sooo sorry P5girl!

Damn that sucks. You did'nt have locks on your wheels. I think its time for you to kick some ass:mad:

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I think that is one of my fears so wheel locks were included as part of the deal when I bought the car. The dealer threw them in. Plus I got an alarm installed right off the bat. Also, I recently changed the horn for something louder since we all know the P5 horn sucks (should really blow).

I was thinking of new rims down the road and contemplated changing the nuts to the type where you need a sort of allen key to work them. That should slow down the idiots.

You should consider getting an alarm that pages you. The minute it goes off you'll get a page within 5-10 seconds. That definately won't be enuf time for anyone to get even 1 rim off if you have wheel locks. Just be sure to have a proximaty alarm.

Ones to consider: Viper, Compustar.

edit: I know for a fact if my pager goes off, i'm running out there with 2 butcher knives in each hand.

I did have wheel locks......but i left the key in my car :( :(

Somehow they got into my car without breaking the window and not leaving scratches near the window moulding. I didn't realize they got into the car until after the cops left and the tow truck guy noticed wires on the floor.

Blah...oh well. I'm sure insurance will replace everything.

That really sux. Were they really after your stock rims? Non too bright, they can't be worth that much. Glad to see you are fairly upbeat about it.
Just a good excuse to get after markets now though.
:)

I have the wheel locks too but a friend of mine (mechanic) claims that they are practically useless. All you have to do is take a socket and a hammer and it wedges it right on. But anything to slow down the theives is a good thing.

The loud alarm is a good idea.

Sorry about your loss.:(

Yeah, wheel locks, like most alarms, only slow the a**holes down - they don't stop them. Almost every shop that sells aftermarket rims has a tool designed to easily break wheel locks incase the customer has lost his key. As well, most tool companies (like MAC Tools) sell 'slim jims' etc. that are suppose to allow tow truck drivers to get into a locked car. It's very easy for a thief to obtain either of these tools.

Again, thanks for all the kind words. Makes you feel better talking about this with people who actually understand what it feels like. Its not just a car...it was my baby! lol

i feel you

believe me, i really feel sorry for you. in my old car, my paseo, i had my show stereo setup stolen twice! then they got my rims (the ones with the wheel locks). when i got my pro, i had just added my system when my whole car was stolen. luckily a friend found it over in south carolina. they had stripped the stereo, and gotten my skateboard, punk cd's etc. but, the dumbasses left my wing, rims, and all.

sorry it happened. its a shitty, shitty feeling.

Ugh, even worse. Like you said it is just a car. The way I see it, just be glad your life has not sunk so low that you have to resort to swiping overpriced peices of car hardware so you can pay your dealer to get that next hit of whatever it is your junkie ass needs to get through one more day of your miserable existance.

:D

Ya it sucks but in the grand scheme of things your futher now than they will be after a lifetime of swiping rims.

ouch...

Damn, what a shame, if somebody were to break into my car, ill make sure to clean the blood off my sword in the morning.

I hate those kind of people....

pantherES August-6th-2002 10:17 PM

It's a sad world like that. People take what someone has worked hard to obtain. If they can't buy it themselves, they shouldn't take it. Assholes.

pr5owner August-6th-2002 10:23 PM

i think you should find those assholes and kill them... your rims are worth more than they are so they have to pay with it for their life

Seriously, Protege5girl, if I were you, I'd put the hurt on those guys (or girls, can't be sexist, ya know...) but I'd guess your rims are long gone... :(
