Rant 3.....yes...another one *PICS*
 

So I'm driving home yesterday and after getting my ticket yesterday...I decide to slow it down. I'm behind this Mustang GT conv't (w/a hot blonde behind the wheel), and I see the chic swerve to the left, obviously something is happening up from so I react as I see this tire come flying over the right side of her car. Apparently, some CS'ing bastard put a loose tire in the back of his truck, the wind took it and it flew out, hit the bumper of the pony and it hit the right side of my car. Thinking nothing happened, I looked in the rearview miror see the damage it was causing behind me when I noticed a side view mirror on the highway. MY sideview mirror. So I pull over ASAP and survey the damage...tire marks on the windshield, tire marks from the front fender all the way back to the end of my front passenger door & no mirror. Well, thankfully I saw the damn thing coming and had time to react. It would've probably caused some more serious damage otherwise...and I could've lost my life.....worst case total the car...lol. Either way, the marks came out & all that's left is a blank spot where my mirror used to be.

So...now...I need to find a new mirror....I'm thinking about getting some aftermarket ones....problem is...I don't think they offer aftermarket versions for our car that is powered. If anyone has any idea where I can find one on the low-low...plz let me know.

man.. thats.. bad... my wife lost her mirror on her '92 to a chicken :) - cost $149 to replace! and that was from junkyard (i didnt buy it, her dad did)

Geez...some people have all the [bad] luck. Sorry :( I think there is a site that sells several different styles of mirror. Let me do a search and get back to ya.

unless you are replacing both w/ aftermarket... didnt look for that.

Look for aftermarket ones....they are usually less and look better.

Phil, that sucks, but won't your insurance cover the damage--assuming you have dents, too, otherwise probably not worth it..

No way am I going to claim that! There's no body damage what so ever...I'll save payng a deductible and spend $100 at the most on some nice aftermarket ones....lol.

I saw a set on ebay....powered...M3 style...less than $60.
