no offence to you Negatize, but that first image in not only not funny....its offensive. you should consider editing your post and removing it.

YES John....Edwin has used it...and its been said to him too....its not funny. and we can find a better way to get people to stop arguing.

and Thank you Negatize....I am sure that most of our member wouldn't take it personally.....but,

just consider this.....What those kids do that compete in the Special Olympics is very special to them....its in many cases accomplishments that many people thought that these kids could never accomplish....its very special to their families too. How do you think it would make you feel if you had a brother or a sister with "special needs" and as a group someone was poking fun at them...making them the butt of their jokes....and they were unalbe to defend themselves.....

I would hope that it wouldn't make you feel very good....I would hope that every memeber here it would make them feel bad....and actually pissed off that someone would take a poke at someone that less fortunate then themselves.....I would hope that WE as a family are bigger than that......

And for those who feel it is somewhat funny - consider that some of the members of this board may have "retarded" people in their families. And before you laugh at it, consider that maybe YOU have a distant cousin with disabilities, or maybe your friend's brother, or your wife's nephew, or.....maybe YOUR child will be retarded.
