If cops would quit searching every lowered, import racer. And focused on more of those people who do stupid stuff interstates. Maybe they'd catch more criminals, drug trafficers, and drunks. And make more money in doing so. I've been pulled over for just having my exhaust, and the car that was near me was swerving all over the road.

Bottom line guys, you DO NOT have to let the cops search your car without a warrant. It's not being suspicious or uncooperative by saying no, it's being aware of your rights. It is not uncommon for some cops to plant **** on you when they're searching your car and when that happens, you're screwed. As for them inspecting your car and holding you up for 30-45 minutes, if they'd like to do that and you know that there is nothing illigal on your car, IMMEDIATELY ask for their name and badge number and tell them you are calling your lawyer (if you have one, do it, if not... well, then it might be wise to threaten legal action). Most cops will back off. I hope this all helps and good luck to every one in the future. Beware of somokey!
