Hey well they get like 32/40 mpg don't they?

I always thought those Mx-3s were cute little cars. Could be especially fun with a KL or BP-T swap

edit: eh well it looks like it's rated 29/35mpg. Meh!

:: and the later DOHC's 29/37! I think I'll keep my trap shut

and where does the 88hp come from? you guessed it, the 93 base model! which has what? the 1.6l SOHC!

let's see here

ok... now, do not read further if you don't understand.... otherwise...

jspecmazdaman, I KNOW you have the 1.6l DOHC engine... which has 105hp... it's the same engine as the Mercury Capri and the 1.6l Miata..... nice motor.... lots of potential

now... do you see a 1.6l Protege *anywhere* that has that same engine? I don't think so... uhh but wait... before you say "but the 88-89 323 GT and GT-X had the same engine"..... let's stop here and think... that car has a TURBO... who in the right mind would want to rip that crap off and install a HEADER for NON-TURBO purposes? Don't forget, that engine made at that time is a lot different than what yours has now... there are MAJOR differences... radically different intake manifold, different engine internals, no oil cooler, etc

stop again if you don't understand... otherwise keep reading...

you're WELCOMED here on this board... I hate to break this news to you.... but honestly, we can't really HELP you or CARE for your car's engine here because we never got it! hey, if you have suspension questions, feel free to ask because they're ALMOST the same

sorry, you look like a lost soldier to me

THINK

Look man i hate to tell you but the 01 base model protege comes with a 1.6 DOHC B6-FE engine. The block is the exact same as the one in the mx-3 DOHC. Look it up if you think im wrong and im sorry for saying all that **** about you but really man you kinda come off as a *****.

erm... sorry bro.. but the 99-01 1.6l DX and most LX trim levels.. come with the ZM-DE which may be a 1.6l, but is completely different. however, it would be nice if we had a B series engine... but sadly.. WE DO NOT.

no 3rd gen Proteges (99-03) EVER had a Mazda B-series motor in there, so jspecmazdaman, you have just pwn3d yourself

here's the reward you have earned for your hard work
